Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 3% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 77.1/100, a mean average of 76.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.7.

Ramones fourth album has a different drummer and the sound is more modern with very clean production. It’s hard for me to decide whether their 2nd, 3rd or 4th album is their 2nd best after the debut.
OK album.

For me Go Mental and I Wanted Everything are the best tracks on this album. Only just behind Rocket to Russia.
First album with Marky replacing Tommy, almost as good as the first three.
Completes the best tetralogy of albums ever.
Definitely much more pop oriented than than their first three albums, but it works well. It's probably best known for I Wanna Be Sedated, but everything here is good.
One of my fav Ramones songs 'I wanna be sedated'.
I believe you miss out on the historical context if you call Ramones a pop band, and even by today's standards the music is too aggressive and the vocals too snotty to be considered pop. That said, this is another solid punk-rocker although not reaching the same heights as the self-titled debut or Rocket to Russia.
People want to talk about the Ramones as a "punk" band which does them no justice. Yes, they pretty much invented punk but that was more of an accident. The Ramones were a pop band more than anything, and since this is their most sing-along album, it is also their best.
Whenever I think about cruising around with my friends in high school, this is the first album/8-track I think of. Good times!
