Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 2% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 78.1/100, a mean average of 76.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 78.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.9.

More supreme fast garage rock 'n roll/rock 'n punk with most songs clocking in at around 2 minutes or under. You know what you're getting with the Ramones. How can you not be filled with joy.

Ramones second album is a continuation of the 1st with another awesome 14 songs. I believe they effectively demonstrated what their m.o. will be.

Better than the debut album, Suzy is a Headbanger, California Sun and Swallow my Pride are the best tracks.

Ramones second and more of the same, possibly even better than the first album. I bought this and Ramones in early 77 as US import pressings and they were barely off my turntable for the whole year – best band ever and a soundtrack to my youth.

Sounds better than the first -Ramones' first album sounds more raw & unique tho- but lacks the amount of classic tracks the 1st and 3rd have.
IMO Commando is the highlight of the record.

The Ramones second album is even better than their first in my opinion. It's just good old unpretentious rock'n'roll and sometimes that's all you need. Simple fun.

Great album, best sounding Ramones album. Just a small step behind the debut album in album quality, but better in production.
