This is beautiful
"Someone To Share My Life With" is incredible.
Listening to Jens Lekman the first time is great. Listening to Jens Lekman for the sixth time in a week for someone like me is shocking. What else do you expect, though, when you take the greatest cuts of his early EPs and put them into a nice package that feels like one of the best debut albums of all time when listened front to back? I was actually surprised when I learned this wasn't a singles compilation, as every song has the potential to be a major a-side. Jens's delicacy is never trite, his romanticism never verging on misogynistic in its longing. One of the few true nice guys left as well as one of the best ears on the planet, for my money. If the guy did hip hop or, hell, what the jj attempt, he would excel. Just listen to that Beat Happening sample of his on "Pocketful of Money." That's the comfy sweater version of "Dead Presidents II," if you ask me.
We can find here a lot of Jens gems before Night Falls Over Kortedala: Pocketful of Money, Maple Leaves, Black Cab, etc ...

Pocketful of Money is the reason I started loving Jens Lekman and is still one of my favorite songs ever. It is just such an amazing song and it makes me so happy :)
