Apparently the critics didn't like this one, with its synth-based sound having been a bit out of step with what was being put out in 1990. I've seen this L.P. being described as bland, and I've seen it being described as "garish" as well, which seems a bit of a contradiction. Anyway, it's definitely an album that's worth persevering with - it's one of the best and most consistent synthpop albums out there, and the lyrics carry a lot of weight given what would later happen to B. Mackenzie. Essential tracks : 'Fever', 'Just Can't Say Goodbye' and 'Something's Got To Give'.
