I've never looked at it that way before!... bugger, now I'll never be able to see this cover again without thinking "Hmmm, I smell Goooooood!"

Personally, I don't see what's so objectionable about it... it's a fairly simple and understated cover- a bloke with his arm in the air.
But hey, perhaps that's a topic for debate in itself, you always have the argument over the best album covers ever... how about the worst?

It's what's inside that counts!

This man has a voice that can cut you in two... so much so that the first songs on the album can be almost uncomfortable to hear, but if your in that mood, there's nothing like it!
All wrapped in a super tight jazz/ish backing group that creates a sound that is however open and expansive, yet intimate and dare I say spiritual. As an album of contrasts, it shouldn't work... electro noodlings splashed over arabic music with that jazz feel... but with real weight and intimacy from his oud.
contemplative, meditative, warm... brilliant.

A lot of hard work happens in the background to keep BEA running, and it's especially difficult to do this when we can't pay our hosting fees :(
