Browne's fans can't avoid this album. It may not be as powerful as his classics, but it's a lovely album, with a first half which has lyrics remembering a little of his classic albums and a more political second half with a moving title track. Good folk-country rock songs all throughout.
Jackson Browne's most personal and most melodic album in years, one that signifies a (for the most part) break from political activism and instead offers more introspective lyrical themes reminiscent of his early albums.
