I didn’t find their last two albums that interesting and I eventually lost interest in them altogether, thinking the sound was too similar from album to album. Giving this one a chance was a worthy exercise though as it’s a lot less predictable and sounds a bit fuzzier and more stoner rock than usual.
Best track: Monolithic Egress. It’s a little Queens of the Stone Age, a little Deerhoof, a lot of fun.
