'Century' is like end of the world in shiny cars. It's a very gloomy track out everything falling apart yet comes in lovely package like they sometimes do with the perfumes at homebargins. The keyboards bring so much to that one. Elsewhere the ultra modern darkness goes. Perhaps the rest of the songs are stories from before it ended? Guilt and The Couples are tracks about the love for Saturday night type thing so many in the UK are up for while the panic driven 'I Liked The Boys' shows the guitars can still come out above all the button pressing. It's not a bad thing they have so much keyboards by the way. The debut felt like a bunch of random people who simply picked up instruments to form a rock band and the naive nature of such worked. Here it is all about putting something more into the art and what happens is a great album. I'm sure we would have seen more progression had they not split in such tragic circumstances. Well what can I say? Erin O'Connor and Nostalgia are also highlights.
