On this album, Lee Morgan begins the move beyond traditional hard bop, and has outstanding results. He is well supported by an all star ensemble including the incomparable Grant Green on guitar, Herbie Hancock on piano, and Wayne Shorter on sax. This is one of the all time great jazz statements.
