Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 2% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 77.9/100, a mean average of 76.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 78.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.5.

Melodically, one of the strongest cuts in his discography.

Not my favorite NY, but it contains many well-made songs, with some great vocal assist for Nicole. This is a worthwhile listen. Four Stars

La prolífica trayectoria de Neil Young tiene un poco de todo. Mi disco favorito de él es este muestrario de folk y country lleno de canciones extraordinarias.

A smooth and easy listening album that is very pleasant to listen too. It is a little more country than most Neil Young albums and so if you enjoy that side you will definitely love this album. The vocals are great as always and there is a little extra on this one with the help of a backing vocalist which really provides something new and fresh and gives us a softer side to the album. Every song matches in tone and so the record has a really nice flow to it and this creates a great atmosphere. The only song that deviates from this is Motorcycle Mama but it isn't too different to distract you too much. Definitely worth a listen and is a good album but not his greatest.

Harvest Moon always seems to get all the credit for returning Neil Young to the folky/country rock sound that made him famous in the early 1970s, but Comes a Time is very much in the same vein. Its a very laid back record, with the exception of Motorcycle Mama which is a bit of a rocker, but besides that its a consistent album with consistent content. Backing vocalist Nicolette Larson is an unsung hero of this album.

Nunca decepciona.. Ou é excelente (como nesse álbum) ou melhor ainda! (ignorem qnd bate nele a loucura experimentalista)

Quite a fun listen. I can see why this record is often overlooked, but I think it is definitely worth a listen or two.

Mixed Bag.

Starts off with some of his great soft rockers for the first 3 tracks but than flirts too much with the cheesy side of 70s soft rock for most of the rest of the album.

A rather sweet and mellow album from Neil Young. It's nothing spectacular but it is extremely pleasant and passes the time nicely enough. Good, but not great.

Underrated 70's classic. Brilliant country tinged acoustic suite. Much better than the likes of Harvest and Rust Never Sleeps l think. Virtually a companion album to After the Gold Rush. If you love that album you'll want this.
