Christmas is a terrible social problem-- one needs music that will not drown out dinner parties, will seem seasonal to children and won't overwork the intelligence of non musical aunts and in-laws, and yet will not insult the intelligence of actual musicians in the crowd.
This is one A+ chunk of the time that needs filling,,,
