My first experience with Mirah was C'mon Miracle, as recommended to me, if I remember correctly, by Pitchfork's best of 2004 list. I really enjoyed that one, and this one, her release immediately preceding this one, paled a bit in comparison. It definitely gets better as the record goes on. Still, there's a lack of focus here that made the last (well, next) one so great. I'm hoping this will change with her next one.
