I’ve got a lot of time for bands that capture the place in which they live. Bloc Party capture the sense of early 21st Century London’s alternative underbelly perfectly in their earlier albums. Silent Alarm is a classic and will have a nostalgic place in many hearts in the decades to come.
The first two albums are fantastic, and I really liked Four as it was fresh and sounds great. A weekend in the city will always be top for me.
I saw them live and was pretty disappointed. Not my cup of tea.
Well they are quite underrated, their debut album is great and love every song. Sure they do get worse with each album but still plenty of tracks to love. Give them a good listen, they deserve it! Ignore the 2 other comments on here.
