I have the feeling that most people who have rated them below 80 haven't properly given them a chance. Not only one of the best voices ever, but also one of the most interesting and best bands of the 90s.

Today has been strange. Today has been a day I won't forget.

I was supposed to see Soundgarden this Friday (5/19/17) for the first time. My all time favorite voice in rock and one of my all time favorite bands. It was beyond a shock to wake up to the news of Chris Cornell's passing. Whether or not you consider yourself a Soundgarden fan, or even listened to his music that much, there is no denying the pulverizing power, grace, dynamics, and charisma in that guy's voice. Not to mention his gift for arranging songs and writing brilliant hooks and often times comically profound lyrics.

I felt his soul in his voice. It's tough to comes to terms with the fact that voice is gone.

Although they're my least favorite of the big 4 grunge bands, I still really like Soundgarden. Cornell is an incredibly gifted singer & songwriter. Only thing I don't really like about them is that they got a lot of filler on their albums.

Favorite songs: Fell On Black Days, Rusty Cage, The Day I Tried To Live, Spoonman

I love King Animal, I mean love all of it. I've Been Away For Too Long is a great tune, watch it live on Jools Holland! I like Superunknown too. Shame they disappeared for 15 years or so though, could have released more quality.

One of my personal favorites growing up. Cornell's voice is like none other and a personal inspiration. Superunknown and Badmotorfinger are some of the greatest the 90's have to offer.

My personal favorite band. It's like their music are made for me. I can't get enough of Superunknown, Badmotorfinger, and King Animal.

Soundgarden hooked me from the first time I listened to Superunknown. Since it has become one of my 5 favorite albums. As a band, they were very arguably the most talented band of their era. Chris Cornell is easily a top 5 vocalist in rock history,.. power, dexterity, range, soul. Their use of his voice over odd time and odd phrasing is incredible.

In my opinion Soundgarden is an incredibly underrated band on this site.
