They might have refined their sound to greater appeal, but this is Soundgarden at it rawest and intense. Kims guitar is sludgey and gritty, like sabbath taken downers . I love Badmotorfinger but its here that the band are unleashed from a cage. The beginning of greatness

Powerful and influential album which led to their more well known material. Fav tracks are Hands All Over, Gun, Loud Love & Big Dumb Sex. This was at the forefront of the Seattle scene.

Pretty much still a noisy mess possessing little of the compositional skill and musical expressiveness the group would develop later.
I know I will be in the minority, but I feel like if you took off Big Dumb Sex, Gun, and the two versions of Full On Kevin's Mom, all the rest is pretty good.

Soundgarden at their formative stages. A little unfinished, but you can hear the energy and power of the band and the beginnings of Cornell's lyrics.
Not a bad early record of theirs, favs 'Get on the snake' 'Hands all over' and 'Big dumb sex'.

Dirty, heavy sounds. It's primitive Soundgarden but there's a lot to like about this.
