I've always liked listening to most of their albums, but the radio hits aren't typically my favorites. After seeing them live a couple times, I developed a deeper appreciation for some of their songs, they put on a fantastic show.

This is such a tough band to rate in my opinion. On one hand you have 3 incredible albums (science, make yourself and morning view). On the other hand you have more recent material which is not really good. Two albums I would say are just average but for the most part they can be great or bad. Unfortunately, they haven't been great in a long time.
They really aren't as bad as some people might say. Sure, they sound very similar to Faith No More and RHCP, but they have their own distinct sound. Nice to Know You, Circles, Nowhere Fast, and Privilege are their best songs.
Anyone who says this band is mediocre clearly has only listened to their radio hits. Plenty of great songs to hear throughout their discography, and their top 4 albums are all worth a listen for any fans of alternative rock.
