Hoodoo Gurus are an iconic Australian band who peaked commercially [here] around the late 80’s/early 90’s. I have had the privilege of seeing them live on a number of occasions. They are an incredibly tight act to see live and are strongly reputed [here] for their live shows. They are so comfortable performing their vast song repertoire live - I recall a time at a gig when Dave Faulkner (lead singer/guitar/songwriter) was just asking any old member of the crowd, including me: “so what do you want to hear next, [audience response], no that’s coming up later, [audience response], yep, right we’ll play that one ”! They have a very tight rhythm - bass/drums/guitar - section. And they are/were very loud live! They are probably one of those bands a person might describe as sounding even better live than on their original recordings.
