Following the seminal 'Stoneage Romeos' we all held our breath for The Gurus next album & 'Mars Needs Guitars ' is what we got . And it good , quite good in fact . I place it at 3 in their catalogue behind 'Stoneage ' and 'Blow Your Cool ' . The only track that sucks is 'Poison Pen ' everything else rocks. On a side note is it possible 'Hayride To Hell' is a play on words tip of hat to ACDC's 'HIGHWAY TO HELL'? Its got to be doesn't it ? And finally as a massive Gurus fan I saw them play promoting this album at the Bundaberg Tavern , I was a teenager at the time and quite possibly this concert was the greatest thing that had ever happened in my short life . I've never forgotten that concert .
