Following the seminal 'Stoneage Romeos' we all held our collective breath for their next album which would be 'Mars Needs Guitars '. And it’s good, better than good in fact . I place it at 3 in their catalogue behind 'Stoneage ' and 'Blow Your Cool '
On a side note is it possible 'Hayride To Hell' is a play on words tip of hat to ACDC's 'HIGHWAY TO HELL'?
And finally as a massive Gurus fan I saw them play promoting this album at the Bundaberg Tavern, I was a teenager at the time and without question this concert was the greatest thing that had ever happened in my short life up to that point. I've never forgotten that night, I think it was when I realised I was going to be a music nut for the rest of my life
Great Aussie rock. Stand outs include Bittersweet and Like wow
