The Guru’s career up to this point (2022) can be broken down into three distinct eras
*The Golden Early Years 84-89: includes the stone cold classics ‘Stoneage Romeo’s’, ‘Mars Needs Guitars’ and ‘Blow Your Cool’
*The Commercial Success Years 91 - 94: ‘Kinky’ and ‘Crank’
*The Forgotten Wilderness Years 96-2010: with a bunch of largely forgettable sub par albums
Then blow me down with a feather Dave and Brad should give us in 22 a fresh album thats surprising in itself but not only that its actually really good to boot and easily their best platter since ‘Crank’ waaaaaaaaaay back in 1994
Whether this is The Gurus fair well album only time will tell (second to last track “Settle Down” sorta suggests it might well be) but if it is they manage to mimic fellow Australian legacy act Midnight Oil with a cracking final album and going out on top
