Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist is rated in the top 24% of all artists on BestEverAlbums.com. This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 76.5/100, a mean average of 77.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.1/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 20.6.

One of the few producers of electronic dance music that produces music of real quality, and on occasion of real substance as well.
This guy actually has some really good songs (and some awful ones.)
"I Remember" is one of my favourite dance tracks ever.

Apologies for the absolute shite I was writing ten years ago. There are loads of EDM artists I love, both from back then and from now. Deadmau5 remains a teenhood favourite, who's strongest material still absolutely shines. Watching Mau5trap grow into the force it is today has been incredible. Outspoken, iconic and immensely talented. (Edited)

The only modern day EDM artist I actually like. Not consistent, but he's done plenty of absolutely fantastic tracks.
