Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 74.7/100, a mean average of 73.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 74.6/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 18.4.

Jilted Generation and The Fat of The Land are best of their. 🤘🏻😎

Farewell to the most enigmatic frontman dance music has yet had. A good chance to reflect on what The Prodigy stand as; one of, if not THE defining Big Beat act[s], as well as a trailblazer for dance music as a whole.
An insanely consistent back catalogue and a string of hits each as bold, boisterous and infectious as the last. A perfect gateway into rave music. Loudness like no other; they revolutionised the image of dance music and have one of the most consistently electrifying singles collection of recent times. They straddle the line of punk and dance, and blend in so much more along the way.
Flint himself had so much charisma and style - as wild, compelling and as crazed as the music the band made. He conveyed the look and feel of rave culture. A legend, no less. RIP.
Many great singles and a few great albums, Fat Of The Land and Music For The Jilted Generation are worth having in your collection. Still releasing music more than 20 years on and never sold out.
I loved music for the jilted generation and bought fat of the land on the day it came out. It was a disappointment; but taught me never to buy an album on the strength of the previous one

Sounds dated. At the time, they were a ball of frenetic energy.

They've sorta become the last music I listen to when I need to finish off a written exercise. You know, to avoid falling asleep!
The Prodigy - punk meets grunge and starts a riot with dance. Howlett uses some of the most out there samples to create some of the most powerful dance tracks around. Utterly brilliant.

Extremely entertaining live, a perfect combination of adrenaline, violence and dance beats. Liam Howlett is one of the last true genius behind a band that is typecasted as "electronic"...They are so much more than that.
