Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart is rated in the top 7% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 88.3/100, a mean average of 90.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 90.4/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 6.3.

Holy cow, this is great. Hardly anybody picks stuff like Grand Funk. Or The Temptations or Diana Ross. Not sure why not, because those last two are pretty good, especially considering how weak Motown albums were in those days. Those were much better than average. And also Untitled by The Byrds is another one that gets ignored. Even though it has several good tracks on it. Ditto for This Girls in Love With You and Carpenters. I like that one better than all the Aretha albums preceding it, as a matter of fact. Ha ha
A lot these selections are not really to my taste, but there is some good variety and I'm glad to see the love for Bridge Over Troubled Water and Loaded. Great albums both.
I have revaluated this chart I had a long think about it and moved "Layla........" to a higher position. It was at No.50 its now 14. I've made a few other small changes.
Good list but Layla and other assorted love songs is way to low in my opinion.
This is a really great chart. One of the best year charts around.
A Brand New Me is a great choice, that song Let Me Get In Your Way is epic.
