My perception and probably the only thing I know about new age music. It's overly spiritual, but in the best way possible and exceptionally gorgeous. I also have a few childhood memories with Enya's music, but that's a boring story for another time!

Easily the "Pet Sounds" of the '80s! Brian Wilson really lets it shine with lush production, great compositions and in my opinion a Christmassy feel. Greatest actual Brian Wilson solo album right here!

Talk Talk expressing the spirit of Eden, the most organic, earthly sound somehow combined with a heavenly spirituality. Very calm, peaceful and unquestionably beautiful!

Once you've become familiar with it, this album will always be on your mind! Introspective, yet danceable and colourfully influenced by the acid house movement with Pet Shop Boys' well-known catchy choruses on top.

Gazing at the blurry candle while listening to some of the dreamiest guitars on this album might just be the greatest experience ever! "Teen Age Riot" is the definite highlight, I'd be lying if I said I was of another opinion there, but the rest of the album isn't exactly total trash either. Even the noisiest most rebellious songs on the album still contain layers of beautiful guitar in the midst of all the disharmony. No question, this sprawling album is made entirely for the daydream nation!

More 80s stuff by the 80s artist with that certain 80s hit. Still danceable, a little slower generally and perhaps also a little cheesier. If you can accept what it is, it's pretty great stuff!

She looks extremely innocent album, doesn't she? Like the prom photo of Laura Palmer! The album is produced/written by the famous (infamous!) Stock Aitken Waterman trio, so if you recognize those three names, you also recognize the sound of this album. The music is a delight and nothing short of adorable!
Favourite tracks: "It's No Secret" & "Turn It into Love" [First added to this chart: 10/19/2019]

Smooth and pretty. Mostly ballads, occasionally with the adult-oriented pop sound you can't recognize as anything but the 80s.
Favourite tracks: "What Were We Thinking Of" & "Some Good Things Never Last"

Enjoy this fiesta of an album on the dance floor, in the local pub with a pint in your hand or simply together with your dearest ones. It's festive and includes the Christmassy fairytale of New York.

R.E.M. at their most eclective. Straightforward pop rock mixes with delicate folk ballads and heavier murky rock. It's a sprawling green collection, often overlooked in their catalogue.
