My introduction to Elbow. "Open Arms" was the song that made me meet the album with... open arms! "The Birds" is a fantastic 8 minute long proggy opener and it doesn't get stale after that.

Little by little, this feral codex of an album will start to make sense in your head. Radiohead really went out on a limb with the release of something this ambient and cryptic. Artful and fascinatingly blooming!

Come all ye and listen to these comforting hymns by Hymns from Nineveh. Located somewhere in the Middle Ages, this danish debut album gives some of the finest purest folk songs with a distinct ancient feel to them. It's hard not to imagine castles, armours, wells, great forests and grasslands, etc. while listening to this!

In a fog of fragmented piano bits, churchy organs and other droning sounds, but with a very powerful end result. With no melodies and no clear rhythms, people might blame you for having hatred of music for liking this. It's all about the atmosphere, a hauntingly dark one and what some might describe as "claustrophobic".

Noel declares the death of him and brother Liam Gallagher as musical partners and shows once for all that he was the band's greatest songwriter and could do well all by himself. Mellower than any Oasis album, Noel really dreams on with gorgeous arrangements and dreamy ballads. A high flying solo debut that only contains strong tracks!

So now Fleet Foxes are older and a little more adventurous perhaps. Whatever exactly is different this time around, I can't help it, this second Fleet Foxes album is gorgeous too!

Indie rock with a nice retro touch. The guitars are fuzzy and the music crispy. Despite its autumnal cover art and overall feel, it's a warm and positive listen!

Rumour has it that this album and Adele in general isn't any good. Such rumours are false! Adele has a fantastic voice, which certainly makes this album beyond other pop albums. Plus "Someone like You" melts my heart!
