Elbow are a highly acclaimed English alternative rock band formed in Bury, Greater Manchester, in 1997. They are celebrated for their lush, orchestral sound, the soulful baritone of frontman Guy Garvey, and their reputation as "the ultimate late-bloomers" of British rock. (Edited)
So underrated. I can't believe they aren't more loved. Some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard is from this band. Guy Garvey is a brilliant songwriter.

Really loving these guys at the moment! There's a bit of a proggy feeling to their music, but moreso in the focus on texture, dynamics, and timbre, as opposed to epic song lengths and solos. Guy Garvey has of course described their music as "prog without the solos" and I think that's a fair description. As it is, their music is accessible and emotional, but also heady and experimental enough that there's plenty to uncover on subsequent listens. To boot, Guy Garvey is a great lyricist and vocalist. This band kind of has everything I find myself drawn to in music. Good stuff.

I got into these quite late but I like what I've heard. They remind a bit of Peter Gabriel and Genesis. They come under the radar and for me underrated.

Un des mes groupes préférés , la voix du chanteur ayant pas mal de similitudes avec celle de Peter Gabriel n'y étant certainement pas pour rien. Albums préférés The Seldom Seen Kid (mention pour The loneliness of a tower crane driver) et le récent The Take off and Landing of everything
