Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist is rated in the top 4% of all artists on BestEverAlbums.com. This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 79.2/100, a mean average of 78.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 80.1/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 15.2.

I just came to the conclusion that the artist Destroyer reminds me of the most is Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits).
If you don't agree that kaputt is one of the best albums ever made, then your one of the worst people ever made.

@dwils0891 I actually really like This Night! But yeah, every Destroyer album is great - I can't say that about many other artists :D
Destroyer is fantastic! I would highly recommend! Especially albums Kaputt, Destroyer's Rubies, Your Blues and Streethawk: A Seduction. I could have just kept going because every Destroyer release is good except for This Night (The only bad Destroyer album and the only one worth never listening to).

A truly brilliant, unique, versatile and idiodyncratic artist - one of the greats
"Trouble in Dreams" is very underrated. It sounds pretty chill like "Destroyer's Rubies", but it sounds more dreamy and it has more variety in its instrumentation. It's even slower, which makes it more of an acquired taste, but there are a lot of good songs on it, and its my favorite Destroyer album.
Love Kaputt...

Not sure if like Kaputt or Destroyers Rubies better
