I discovered the band with this album, and they immediately became big favorites of mine. Subtle, highly melodic, cleverly articulate music, mixing humour with melancholy, like a more acoustic-orientated Saint Etienne (another act I'm very fond of): a masterclass in subtlety. A great, under-rated pop band's possible peak. Beautiful.

Previously unreleased recordings from the last two years of the band's existence, completing an ambitious and largely successful archival project, encompassing a 10-hour documentary, a beautiful coffee-table autobiography and two "new" songs stemming from two Lennon demos.

The highest body count ever! Deep, melodic and very macabre, in a tongue-in-cheek way. "O'Malley's bar" is a 15-minute tour-de-force.

Gargantuan in scope (a triple-cd! 60 minutes of music each!!), but, if quantity doesn't always equate quality, the programming capabilities of any player should enable you to harvest more than enough songs for a great single, or even double, album.
