Top 100 Music Albums of the 1960s by Jimmy Dread (2019)
This chart's a little more complete than it once was, especially seeing as I've broken my self-imposed rule and stuck at least one compilation on this chart (see if you can spot it!). Rate away and comment if you like - still one album per artist, duplication with Overall 100 dodged where possible, yadda yadda yadda - you know the drill... Jimmy, August 2019

should have read the blurb properly....have 5 more points
Might want to read what I wrote at the top of the page fella - obvs Pet Sounds would be in here all day long were it not for the fact it's already in my 100, as with Five Leaves Left instead of Bryter Layter, Heptones S/T instead of On Top, etc.
I'm amazed that there is a 60s chart containing 37 albums that I don't own. One album per artist makes it interesting, but really, no Pet Sounds? Interesting chart though, love the Brazilian albums.
I think I need some Nick Garrie in my life. Excellent, Jimbo, as always.
A pretty thorough list....but the one album per artist thing doesn't work for me at all. It makes me feel that I am not getting a true representation of a person's tastes. That being said, it works as a list of artists.
Cheers Shanks - the reason that there's only one Beatles album in this list is due to my rigid rule of only having one album per artist in any of the charts I compile. That said, if I were to relax this rule certainly the likes of Sgt Pepper and Rubber Soul would have made the grade. I feel that by having an album per artist makes the chart not only more of a challenge/fun to compile, but also allows some of the lesser lights who might not otherwise get any kudos to get a mention. Glad you found it interesting..! :)
OK. I'll hold off on rating it, but I just want to say that this is a very interesting chart! I'm kind of wondering how a best of the 60's list can only have one Beatles album. Are you creating this deliberately to highlight sort of lesser known artists from the 60's? Interesting list, so far.
Cool. I'll definetily rate when you're done with it. I hope All of us wil stay in the top 20, and that Left Banke will find it's way into it.
