Just as in "Goon" the melodies are haunting. The emotions felt in every note and every word is what makes this album so special. I cant particularly relate with the lyric content at this point, but it sounds so true; I can feel his anguish and his sorrow. It's my second Sufjan Stevens album and I think this is on the same level as Illinois. The personal content and the most beautiful melodies are the land marks of "Carrie & Lowell"

I love this album; it’s just a deep grower, better and better every listen. The shift in style may seem risky at first. I mean here you have a psychedelic rock band going for some sort of psychedelic pop with some dance tunes and sounding perfect in every way. From the album lyrics to its production, Currents is a success. He manages to harness his new sound into an incredibly cohesive whole.
Ultimately, Currents is just as much a summation of Parker's efforts of the past seven years as it is a completely new direction for his project, and it carries with its liquid flow all of his creative highs and lows in one delightful-sounding package. This may not be the defining Tame Impala release, or the best, but it is an important step in the evolution of the project, and certainly a very enjoyable record.
As for the memorable tracks on this album. “Let It Happen” is an epic, driving opener that is unlike anything else on this album. “Eventually” could be the best thing he's ever done. “The Less I Know the Better” and “Disciples” are perfect pop numbers, that just left me wanting more.

I don't know what is it about this album that I like so much. His voice is great, he has some good lyrics and storytelling, but it's the melody that made me engage with this album so much. "How Could You Babe?" and "Just A Dream" are perfect example of what I'm saying. Amazing album!

Ok.. the album every single person on this site has bragged about. I saw the rating and comments and was just blown away, how can an album be THE BEST EVER after two days of being released. I didnt want to listen the album at first. I didnt want my opinion on the album be biased.

Finally I gave it a listen. It's a really really good album. I was impressed on the cohesiveness of the album, a lot of genres well put together. Amazing stand out tracks such as "King Kunta", "Alright", "The Blacker The Berry" and "i".... But IT'S NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BE THE BEST ALBUM EVER as some people said. "Good Kid, M.A.A.D City" is a better album. But this again is my opinion.
I dont see any flaws in the album, maybe just a bit too long. Kendrick is amazing. 2015 has been amazing so far.

Jamie XX can do no wrong. I've been following him since his first singles from 2011 and his collaboration with Gil-Scott Heron, so I was really exited when he announced his first proper solo album. The first single I heard from this album was "Loud Places". I was blown away, beats, melody and lyrics perfectly sync. Couple of days later he announced a Dj Set in Mexico city just before his Coachella appearance. He played the four singles he released for this album and they were a success. The album came out and was blown away with the consistency of the album; it was like everything was perfectly matched.

"I Know There's Gonna Be (Good Times)" summer anthem.
