Ok. This is a chart mostly of underground albums, like experimental electronica and so - and then, yeah, there are Sufjan Stevens, Deerhunter, The War on Drugs and other famous people that I really love. These are just my favourite works of this last six years, hope you'll try and enjoy them - the ones you don't know yet. If you have any suggestions, please let me know :)

I could describe this album as an experience of inner-diving. It cuts through your soul until it reach the bottom, it makes something inside you move. An enormous masterpiece.

Tears, emotions, beauty. This is an album that smells of the same dusty phantoms of masterpieces of the past like Tonight's the Night or Electro-Shock Blues. I had never loved Sufjan Stevens before listening to this one. Now he's one of my favourite artists ever, and this brought me to reconsider also his previous works. Maybe Carrie & Lowell isn't that great musically speaking, but it could be seen as his Blood on the Tracks: a masterpiece because it contains a very piece of life of its author, told without any filter.

Another genius that confirms his greatness. I had already loved Space Is Only Noise, four years ago, but Pomegranates is just beyond. The missing link between Brian Eno and Enio Morricone - well, maybe not, but it's just wonderful. Pomegranates was thought as a soundtrack for the 1968 avantgarde-film The Color of Pomegranates, but the album is perfectly self-standing and brings out some of the most emotional moments of the last years.

One of the two geniuses of Norwegian female songwriting (along with Jenny Hval), Susanne Sundfor gives the one that could be my favourite song of the last six years (the title track) along with another bunch of great tracks. It's not just folk, nor just pop, nor dark-wave, nor synth-pop: something in the middle, that builds a cathedral of emtions that you can't help to love.

How to trasform grief for the lost of a parent into experimental house music. Magic, and yeah, if you think house is bad music in any case, try this one, you could find yourself touched.

This one takes author from all around Europe: Iceland, Nethrland, England... the result is a beautiful mix of ambient, industrial, folk and world music. Pure alchemy, magic.

One of the most original hip hop groups of the last years comes from the land where most hip hop suck. Uochi Toki's music could be described as "free-hip hop": the beats are between the most experimental yet funny you'll ever find, the rapping is delirious and the lyrics build a concept about relationships that is pure genius. I'd advice anyone who likes something different from standard hip hop listening to Heart Love Error Disintegration (yeah, I know the translated title sucks, but trust me, it's worth giving a try).

Another exceptional composer, Tim Hecker's music is delicate yet it has a strong impact on the listener. Virgins is a magnificient album that puts him between the absolute geniuses of this half-decade.
