Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. Great but something went wrong from album 57 on (and further on): the tracks from the album are from the album just below it
I would have liked to see more than a couple albums from the last 20 years make the list, yet on a site where "To Pimp a Butterfly" gets projected 5th best album of all time not even a month after its release.. I can' help but feel more people should also wait the test of time.

very likable choices that give a warm and soulful feeling.
A lot of the music is a bit "before my time", so I´m sorry to say it doesn't mean somthing personal to me.
This is a exquisite chart full of flavor and change. Miles Davies to Teenage Fanclub is just exceptional love this chart more than any I have seen before GREAT
