For the record DP, I actually don't care what you think of my chart or me, and your negative rating of it doesn't keep me up at night. But you started a fight with me over some petty personal grievance of which I'm still baffled by. Apparently, ageism was the reason, which is really funny. The problem I had was that you were being disingenuous and petty and you were getting away with it. So, I decided to try to expose you for what you are. The thing is, if you are not willing to make your chart vulnerable to ratings, you have no business rating others, and especially when those ratings are based on petty feelings toward someone and have nothing to do with the actual music. You have zero credibility as far I'm concerned.

Quadrophenia: First off, cool name. That album meant a great deal to me in my late teens, and at one time sat at number one on my list, until I realized That The Beatles will always hold a more special place in my heart, and Revolver is pretty much a perfect album. As for Queen and Led Zeppelin, it may surprise you to know, I'm not a fan. For the most part I'm not into arena rock bombast, with the Who being an exception, and both those bands are all about bombast. Basically, I'm a guitar pop indie rocker mostly at heart. Led Zeppelin is a very eclectic group and I do like some of their acoustic and psychedelic offerings, but the hard rock stuff I can do without. Also, I think "classic rock" radio has ruined them in a lot of ways. The same can probably be said for Queen, but I do like Bohemian Rhapsody. Who doesn't? Mr. November: The National is one of my favorite newer bands. Boxer continues to floor me. Thanks for the suggestion. I have one Sparklehorse album, which I can't remember the name of. I like the jangley pop stuff, but I'm not sure how much I like the dark atmospheric stuff. I have to give it some more time. Thanks for the comments, everyone. I might be adding a few more soon (as well as reordering), as I'm starting to remember some albums I left out.

Frankly Mr. Shankly......... I like this chart. Plenty of familiar classics with a sprinkling of lesser known albums to keep some intrigue.Glad someone else rates Summerteeth as Wilco's finest, thought it was just me. Think you'd like Vivadixie.... by Sparklehorse and Everything's Fine by Willard Grant Conspiracy. Might finally get round to checking out Son Volt, always wanted to give them a go but they'd slipped off my radar.

i've just finished listening to Isolation Drills. i should admit that i've completely changed my opinion about GBV. from the worst band (album) to actually a good band !

except 2 or 3 tracks, the whole album is just pleasant listening to, without being outstanding.

my very favorite song is : The Brides Have Hit Glass.

I went through a "screw that chart" phase. That's why you probably missed out on the more recent one. Your chart is still a favourite ! Not enough room on my chart for Elvis Costello, Liz Phair, The Jam... and dearly miss them :) Not a huge Who fan though. "Tommy" the movie put me off.
