Funk Artists (Then & Now)

There isn't a whole lotta funk music on BEA, so I thought I would throw together this list of artists (about half early funk and about half "21st Century funk" to give someone new to funk a flavor for what the genre includes - early funk, PFunk, 80s dance funk, british "funk revival", jazz funk, jam funk, soul-funk, all kinds of FUNK. Enjoy exploring from here ... in general, the albums chosen are good intros to the bands. I threw a couple of various artist collections on the end for fun too. These are in no particular order - roughly it works out that the first 25 or so are pre 2000 and the second half are post-2000.

Oh hell yes. Need to represent this list. If you want more funk, give Dam Funk, Tuxedo, KING and Jamiroquai a listen.
