This was the first Sonic Youth album I discovered after reading about it in the NME. I now have a teenage son called Thurston.

It is so hard to explain to younger people what an impact this album had when it came out. Their live shows were just amazing.

I bought this record because it was on the same record label as the Triffids. I had no idea he was in the Saints until much later.

Mojo has just included this album as one of their Buried Treasure features. I've loved this album for years and include it here to celebrate its long-deserved recognition.

We were all so excited that the Smiths were bringing out another album. It is a good cover of this album, but it is a bit too American to be a good Smiths cover.
