Difficult to get through all at once without banging that skip button a few times. CVB is more of a good-sounding band than a band with good songs. If it were only trimmed down, there is a great album in here somewhere. Lowery sounds a little like Paul Westerburg at times, but these guys play it pretty slow and straight so the comparison ends there. The violinist is clearly a huge John Cale fan.
Like some eastern European ska folk punk 60s extravaganza. Plenty of great instrumental ditties and some fun, humorous songs. Take the Skinheads Bowling is a classic.
