This is the year I got married. I was still at Teacher Training College and very skint. As a result, not too many records were published and less time spent listening to new music.

This was the album my wife gave me on our wedding day. It is a great album and every time I play it I think of her.

Bill is Dead is a wonderful song. This is a great album that comes just after his separation from Brix.

I love the Beatles cover on this album. This album has a great feel to it, but what else would you expect from Kim Deal of the Pixies and Tanya Donelly of Throwing Muses.

Such a strange album. I love the gaps between the songs. They are so long that they become unsettling.

This one album has made them. The guitars on this album are just great. Every song is superb. A great album.

Pixies are a great band. I can remember hearing them first on Peel and loving them immediately. Great dynamics in every song.
