91.78 Debut from the greatest ever punk band. Not their best but better than almost anything put out from all other bands of this genre. Fast, furious, brilliant. 03/25

90.83 Ahhh memories. Saw them live for the first time when they visited NZ when I was 16. It was at an 18+ nightclub so by getting in and being there I felt like a big boy. A real man. This was early '84 so they'd put out 'Iron Fist' & 'Another Perfect Day'. Was at the very front and center. They pretty much played the entire 'Ace of Spades'. Glorious night. True to there word of being one of the loudest bands, my ears were ringing for about a week afterwards. Long live Motorhead

90.00 Metal classic. Some absolute legendary tracks. A couple are a bit cheesy but you can overlook that due to the fantastic musicianship on them. Fantastic album from start to finish. Part of the staple diet of NWOBHM

89.625* Fantastic album. One of Sabbath's best. Big ask for Ronnie to replace Ozzy but there'd of been no regrets. His vocals give a lighter feel than with all previous Ozzy albums but still as heavy as fuck. Makes it sound like a different band, but still in the same caliber of greatness. Outstanding. 02/26

86.81 Great album. Every song a gem. From up tempo 'Shark Attack' to the melodic joy of 'Poor Boy' this is total gold right through. One of the better albums to come out of NZ

86.505* Had this on tape once. Long disappeared. Very stoked to have it once again. Live concert from 1980 when he had not so much ditched the blues, but was going more full on rock. Fucking great. True legend. This is easily my favorite Rory album. 03/26

85.83 Took 30 years for me to replace my cassette of this with the CD. I'd forgotten just how fucking great it is. Nearly every song true gold. And those that aren't are definitely high grade silver. Original one of a kind. Uncomplicated rhythms and hooks. Good addition to any music collection for the spice of variety. 07/24

85.62 Brilliant debut album. Great songs right through. Deserves more credit than it gets. Paul Di'Anno's vocals give a different rawness than what was to come when Bruce replaced him, but in no way is he a bad singer. Suited the songs and style very well. A great album.

84.375* This is about as NWOBHM as it gets. Lot of good songs. As the first track states, "Fill your head with Heavy Metal Thunder". Outstanding. 12/25
