When I was growing up, my mom would probably not allow you in the house if you didn't like Judas Priest. I will certainly follow that rule as well. One of the very best heavy metal bands. The 70's material is very tough to match and even though it came out in 1980, British Steel is certainly a gold standard.

Better than Iron Maiden and Sabbath. It seems that fans of early metal keep resurfacing on this site...
I see Priest as one of first - if not THE first - pure metal bands. Fantastic vocals and dual guitar leads. Rhythm section is average at best...but the band doesn't need anything too fancy.

My favorite band of all time. Own everything they've released.I have met the band, and have seen them live close to 20 times through the years!
How is this band so underrated? I mean I haven't listened to all of their albums or anything but their best stuff is top-tier metal. (Edited)
