Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist is rated in the top 13% of all artists on BestEverAlbums.com. This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 77.2/100, a mean average of 76.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.5/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 14.8.

Motorhead are one of those bands you either love or hate. They were definitely loud and in my view, they definitely rocked!
When he was born Mr Kilminster thought his son looked like an Article Rodent, and Lemmy was thus named
Very underrated. It was loud and a lot of fun. Should have been bigger in the United States.
I've seen people criticizing Motörhead for basically releasing 23 albums with the same style, but why would you crizicize them for that? They're Motörhead, and they aren't bad because they don't release crappy power ballads or poetic lyrics. If you buy a Motörhead album, you exactly know what you're gonna get, and that's a GOOD quality of them.

How can you not respect Lemmy? Uncompromising and gifted. RIP.
Glad they aren't over-rated on here! Ace Of Spades album is good and also love The Game and Line In The Sand songs.
rockin'
I really need to listen to more before I judge, but I love them from what I've heard so far.
Motorhead will always have "Ace of Spades" to thank for their popularity, but they really made some of their best music in the 90's. "Sacrifice" and "Snake Bite Love" aren't listed here (yet) but they are two of the best metal albums of that decade IMO.

Loudest band ever!!! Seeing them live was life changing. Lemmy is a rock n roll icon if there ever was one. It's frustrating to see so many people get caught up on the song Ace of Spades when this band has SOOOO much more to offer. I recommend this band to any fan of music. Overkill is my favorite album and I'd argue, their best.
