79.90* This is the first studio album from Aerosmith I've acquired. Their most commercially successful and probably their best known. It's actually pretty good. Better than I thought it would be. They're heavier than I speculated as well. I've always seemed to have had a bit of an anti against Aerosmith. Don't really know why. Could be due to how commercial they became at the time this was released, and I've a bit of a bitterness in regards to commercial music. Also I find Steven Tyler a fucking idiot and the personality which he percieves is very grating and annoying. I'd say that's more so why I've forever ignored Aerosmith. Anyway, lesson learned; don't hate the music just because you hate the player. Playa. 06/25

From 1989. This is a lot heavier than the above live album. His songwriting had improved massively too as they're pretty much all better songs. I really like this. But even with this being a good Hard Rock/ Metal album (One track even has Ozzy as guest vocalist), it wasn't much of a success and didn't do too well for him. Could be the reason he changed style and went back to his roots with the next album 'Still Got The Blues'. 09/26

77.333* Thrash band from Canada. They're actually alright. Let's chat about thrash metal. It's always an interesting one as some thrash albums and bands can just all sound the same. That's why the Big 4 are the kings of thrash, they had decent variety within their songs. On some albums, not all. These guys are classed as 2nd tier thrash behind the Big 4 giants. This album is not up to the par of the better of the Big 4's albums, you know, the Master's of Puppets, Rust in Peace, Among the Living etc. But it's a lot fucking better than a lot of the other albums they put out. Overall it's a solid effort. Jolly good. Thumbs up. It's always good to support the underdog. From the late 80's when thrash was still in a golden period 10/25

77.100* They have such a beach party surf guitar vibe to them. "Loveshack' and 'Roam' are the big hitters on this. There's a few other decent tracks but overall it pales in comparison when compared to their debut. 10/26

74.071* They expanded and widened their sound on this but still keeping mainly with the up tempo jaunty folk punk jigs. Not in the same league as the two albums that preceded it but still a decent album. Gotta love The Pogues 05/26

73.041* Nice mix being part Alternative rock, part early Brit Rock, part Psych Rock but all with a very tranquil flow about it. One of those albums that works well when in the exact mood. I can see this could be a grower on me. 09/26

71.285* This took a few listens too warm too. But Lou Reed is as Lou Reed sounds. An original and unique narrated vocal style over pleasant rock backdrops. A decent album. 01/26
