Great band who had a very interesting career due to their hugely successful comeback in the late 80s. Their first album has some great tunes but Get Your Wings, Toys in the Attic and Rocks are classics in my book. They were less successful until Permanent Vacation, Pump and Get A Grip which started to creep a little too far into the commercial. I’d also recommend the compilation album Gems. They were highly influential to great 80s bands like Motley Crue and Guns N Roses. (Edited)
Their first 4 albums are amazing, but the stuff after that is pretty comercial. Toys In The Attic & Rocks were full of catchy guitar riffs, awesome screams and just relaxing music in general. But as I said before, don't try anything after Rocks.

Aerosmith is a great band...no doubt. TOY IN THE ATTIC is, I would say, their most cohesive album. They've always been very good for singles...they've always been a great band to see live...they just haven't found the right formula for making a great, thorough album just yet.
Decent arena rock band. Probably a little underrated on this site. Their later stuff kinda sucks though.
Aerosmith - One of those bands that sounded better when they were on dugs and alcohol.
