My list of favorite albums of 2008. Turned out to be a much more difficult task than 2009 was. Some of the albums that were left out of the top ten of 2008 could have easily made the top ten in 2009.

Taking all the best aspects of folk and rock music from the past 40 years, Fleet Foxes created a beautiful and warm sound of their own. A masterpiece that could stand up to anyone of it's influences.

One of the greatest figures in the history of hip hop returned after 10 years of silence. And he met all expectations by releasing not only one of the best albums of 2008, but of the last decade.

Another band that survived the internet hype that surrounded them and came out on top. To me it sounds like the soundtrack to every Wes Anderson movie, which is pretty damn cool.
