Siguiendo la senda marcada por 'From Mars to Sirius', los franceses decidieron para 2008 volver a dar un nuevo golpe sobre la mesa a base de riffs paranoicos e innovación a raudales. A destacar la figura de Mario Duplantier a la batería, creativo a más no poder en canciones complejas e intrincadas como "The art of dying", una auténtica obra de arte. No era fácil traer algo que fuera oro pura tras las alabanzas recibidas por 'From Mars to Sirius', pero con 'The Way of All Flesh', Gojira se consagró como una de las bandas más importantes de este siglo. Sin caer en la repetición ni en los refritos, Gojira experimenta en este disco buscando abrir aún más si cabe su horizonte musical, y regalando al respetable un nuevo disco sin fisuras. Death Metal Progresivo del más alto nivel, con temáticas novedosas en el mundo del Metal y músicos creativos y ambiciosos.

Gojira's best album, a thundering beast of epic proportions. Slightly better than From Mars to Sirius due to a better focus with less repetition. Both albums make up there best to date though. The Art of Dying is one of the best progressive metal pieces these ears have ever heard.
Too long for me, impossible to listen to it in its full length.
I like Oroborus, Toxic Garbage Island & Vacuity.
