Bit of a shame. I always like a decent guitar solo myself, but you shouldn't limit yourself just because something is done on a computer. Many 'rock bands' use electronic drums when recording, and most of the time, what you're hearing is actually just a simulated drum kit. Just to crystallize the sound and make it perfect.

And apart from the obvious amount of too much Beatles albums, the diversity is still limited. I hope you find some new albums on BEA that you like :)

Fair enough points, but I'm just trying to tell you about the large majority of music that you're missing out on. Electronic music is great, dance music, hip-hop, ambient, krautrock, trip-hop, dubstep, symphonic metal, etc.. Regardless if it's a computer making the noises, a person still has to write it down and tell it what to do. That also takes years to perfect.

"I heard a computer-generated sax solo.". Ya. That's going to suck. To this day, there isn't a program or midi instrument that can replicate the noise made by a saxophone. It just sounds like a shitty tuba or a clarinet. I also play saxophone, but I incorporate a lot of electronic music in my work. That takes much more talent, time and patients sometimes.

It's not that you dislike 90's music, it the way you dismiss it and the 00's. Seems very naive and top 500 rolling stone influenced, which is surprising considering your age. If you want I could give you are few suggestions I think you might enjoy from those decades.
