Top 17 Greatest Music Albums ratings
Average Rating = (n ÷ (n + m)) × av + (m ÷ (n + m)) × AVwhere:
av = trimmed mean average rating an item has currently received.
n = number of ratings an item has currently received.
m = minimum number of ratings required for an item to appear in a 'top-rated' chart (currently 10).
AV = the site mean average rating.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 40.7/100, a mean average of 12.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 12.5/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 13.8.

Needs more Radiohead
I give this chart credit for more or less ordering Radiohead's albums correctly, although it would need to be updated to include A Moon Shaped Pool.
Variety is the spice of life.....you could do with a little spice my friend !!!
As much as I enjoy Radiohead, you have to broaden your horizons! There is so much more to music!
Well ... there's a reason this and the all Oasis chart are two of the lowest rated on this site ...
I love Radiohead! ...but even I think you should branch out more. You've made your point.
Hahahaha, and I thought I was a big Radiohead fan...can't you at least fill out the rest so that there's a full 40?
So many bands i haven't heard of before!
Radiohead is one of the best bands. But I don't think all 17 best ever albums are made by Thom Yorke and friends.
Worst chart I ever saw.
