"I like Homogenic, but it never made me feel other-worldly and in a sort of ice-dream reverie like Vespertine manages to do for me. Great albums take you somewhere else, on a journey or to a place of comfort. This is why it is her best album. I was a bit surprised to see Homogenic rated higher..."  Reply

"Brilliantly beautiful album. Expertly crafted sound with cryptic but not baffling lyrics, Boxer stays consistently engaging throughout the duration of the album. Racing Like a Pro and Ada both stand out to me, but there is enough variety that I could easily see any of the other tracks being other..."  [+]  Reply

"I feel like Green Day isn't treated fairly on this website. While I would agree that Dookie was the more influential album and it definitely shot Green Day into super-stardom, American Idiot is the better album musically. It has better lyrics, better hooks and melodies, and it features two songs ..."  [+]  Reply

"This album is a masterpiece, and yeah, everybody has a different taste. But I can say in my opinion this is the best Arcade Fire album, yes, better than Funeral (That's a lot to say). I guess that's why this webpage is great, because there's a huge variety of people with different taste."  Reply

"Well, i have to be honest with this one. At first i hated it, but after i grew attached to Brother Sport, all the other songs began to grow on me. In The Flowers is a hell of a openin track, followed by the awesome My Girls. Summertime Clothes is also a personal favorite of mine. This is possibly..."  [+]  Reply

"Though it may not seem like it to some, this album is definitely the most logical step forward from The Lonesome Crowded West. The pissed off teenager from the last album becomes the much more mature adult here, his anger confined to only a few brief moments on this record. All of the anger over ..."  [+]  Reply

"It's actually funny how many people don't seem to see what the pitchfork guy was going for in his review. He was caricaturing a young tool fan, who is overanalyzing their music and maybe finds a little bit more meaning in their songs than there actually is, and to be honest I also think that ther..."  [+]  Reply

"I was living in Reno in November of 2006 when Ys was released, and I immediately recognized, amid the dense allegory and arcane literary references embedded in Joanna Newsom's lyrics, music that is grounded in the Sierra Nevada and Yuba River Valley landscapes in which Newsom was born and raised...."  [+]  Reply

"I'm a white guy from Maine who headed down to Virginia for college. My freshmen year this album was released. I had made a couple of black friends who every day for what felt like forever would sing the songs on this album wherever we walked. The gym, food court, football game, and I would tease ..."  [+]  Reply

"Underrated in comparison to their other albums? Certainly seems that way. And why? Well, this is possibly due to its length. When I first heard this album, I of course recognized its brilliance. However, it's length, and its apparent lack of flow, did manage to seep in at times, ultimately overth..."  [+]  Reply
