Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 2% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 78.0/100, a mean average of 76.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 78.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.8.

Is there a better band than Fleet Foxes today? Their sound has matured and they do not hold back on their ambition.

This was an unexpectedly overwhelming listen, first off this is not only a proper evolution from Helplessness Blues, this goes a step further

Taking ques from genres like Musique Concrete, Psychedelia, Chamber pop yatta yatta yatta

It feels like looking at a Sistine chapel being painted in the sky on a cool autumn day on a rocky Oregonian beach

I love it!

After a slightly underwhelming effort from alt-j, my hopes for 2017 turned to Fleet Foxes. Boy did they deliver, surpassed almost all my expectations. Beautiful instrumentation, the ever so slight addition of some electronic really give this a unique feel in the discography. This album solidifies Fleet Foxes as one of the true greats of this generation. Outstanding effort, AOTY so far.

Goddamn... This album is a revelation. This is a gorgeous, intricate, emotionally-charged experience. The only drawback is that such a dense record can be a little exhausting, but Fleet Foxes have not lost it. Each record of theirs gets better and better. Welcome back, FF.

I had high expectations for this record, but boy did they blow them out of the water. It is familiar Fleet Foxes but different; a slow burner with incredible payoff
