Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 67.6/100, a mean average of 67.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 67.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 23.2.

I like the one song where the one guys screams and the other guys raps. (Edited)

First of all, I respect all meanings. You can say whatever you like about any album.
I get that some people find this mediocre, cause of the repetitive teen-angst lyrics and onefingerbarreguitarchords. Lyrically, I don't see much difference with higherrated albums such as Ramones (for example). I'm a big punk fan and I get that Ramones was very influential, but those lyrics are such as teeny as these. And the music on this one is much more complex...

Personally I think this is the best album I've ever heard! It's the catchiest thing, and so underrated! It's nearly as emotional as OK Computer for me! (Edited)

So overrated. How many songs about anger can a band have? There's some musical talent here, but they need to spend many sessions in the counsellor's office before they can write about something else besides pain, loss, anger and how the world sucks. Maybe lock them in a room with Elmo? (Edited)

Every song on this album is a good song. The problem is every song sounds exactly like the last one, so this album quickly goes from incredible, to very boring. It is a nu-metal classic, but now it lives off of irony and a couple of hits that have survived the years. (Edited)

Probaly the rap-rock emo version of nickelback, both tied for the lamest bands in history. I'd rather listen to the bay city rollers for the rest of my life than this crap. Only the stupidest of people could actually think this is a good record. All the people I used to know who actually liked this album growing up were scumbags, and they now have 10 kids each and every std you can think of. Way to go linkin park. (Edited)
