This band has a special energy in its playing and vocals, including the backing vocals. And the songs twist in unexpected directions with creative arrangements. Also an interesting range of influences on display, including some blues on "Time". I liked this a lot, want to hear it all again. Best: "Alright", "Lenny", "Sitting Up Straight", "She's So Loose", "Sofa".

Shortlisted for album of the year at the 1995 Mercury Prize. The winner was Dummy by Portishead (Edited)
Cracker debut. Chock full of high energy up-tempo tracks. I don't use the term 'fun' when describing a music type or style. But this is fun music. How can you not love it? (Edited)
Probably Britpops most under rated album. Should really be viewed as a classic as every song is a banger (Edited)
