Not every ac/dc album was great, infact some were downright average but this later career outing hits the spot more often than not without having an outstanding belter like whole lotta Rosie or thunderstruck.

solid album - no real duds - trim maybe 4 or 5 of the lesser songs and they wouldn't be missed - enough strong tracks here to have made a cracking little 10 track, 40 mins-ish LP. (Edited)
This was the album that bought AC/DC back into the spotlight with claims of renewed glory prevalent to days of old. It bought huge disappointment for me. 'Rock & Roll Train' is alright, nothing spectacular, but the rest is mundane, repetitive, and has absolutely nothing new to offer.
Quite a solid offering this late in the game. If only it was 9-10 tracks instead of 15, you'd have an incredibly solid album. Seriously, there are enough good/great songs on here for a 10 track album, but they had to make it nearly an hour long for almost no reason. Those extra 4 or 5 tracks (which ones they are depends entirely on the listener) are kinda... well.. filler. Not terrible, but nothing very special or worth listening to more than twice. "She Likes Rock and Roll"? Come on. I'm probably giving this too much shit, though, because there are about 9 or 10 solid tracks that make this album worth listening to a lot, you just have to chose which tracks to skip and which to not skip. The good tracks all have a great groove and are, surprisingly, melodic in comparison to the gut wrenching hard rock of let's say Flick of the Switch.
This album was a really big deal for me when it came out. I probably listen to it a bit with nostalgia ears, but I think it AC/DC's best release in a while at the time. There some are some classic sounding tracks, but I also thought they deviated a bit from their sound with a few tracks. It probably would be a better album at 12 tracks instead of 15, but after an eight year wait I was glad they didn't hold back.
